Five Super Chunky Shop Knits

Giant knitting is bang on trend this autumn/winter and we’re loving the trend of arm-knit style massive homewares in hugely hygge cosy fabrics.

1) Bumper beanbag

From Made, £149 (

I would dive head first onto these super stylish chunky knit beanbags from, but only after they have made my lounge look incredibly inviting. They wouldn’t look out of place in a creative office space, either, since they come in lots of different colours.

2) Big blanket

From Jumbo Knit at Esty, from £127.41 (

Curl up with a hot chocolate in front of the telly with this lush modern mahoosively chunky blanket. In a dusty pink shade, it’s bound to be super-warm in luxurious merino wool.

3) Get a head

From Three Birds Sitting at Etsy, £26.45 (

Jetting off on a ski trip? Me neither. But a plush woolly headband is not to be sniffed at for those staying on home turf this winter. And in the shade of the season, a subtle splash of this pink alpaca yarn [link to alpaca article] will add a pop of colour to any outfit.

4) Cosy cardi

From The Nautical Company, £83 (

I’m a huge lover of knits on men and luckily for me, so is my fiancé. But he’s a burly lad and I can’t manage a jumper from scratch every year. This year, I’m buying him this gorgeous textured 100% merino wool cardi to keep him cosy. Made across the pond in Ireland and in a masculine charcoal grey, I know he’ll love it.

5) Who am I kitting?

From Biches & Bûches, £152 (

This wouldn’t be a proper list for me without a little something to sling on the knitting needles, so if anyone out there is listening, this ombre chunky knitting kit is most certainly on my list to Santa. Simple to make, this sweater in warm metallic tones will fly off your needles in next to no time – it’s great for a bit of mindless Netflix knitting.
